A Day of Compassion: Graace International Foundation’s Visit to Madame Embani and LEPROSERIE DE LA DIBAMBA

It is March 5, 2023, when the Graace International Foundation association, which we represent, raids the home of Madame Embani, a divorced mother of 4 children.

We see at first glance the precariousness in which this sixty-year-old lives. A one-room house, that is to say without latrines, kitchen and other important rooms in a house. Inside this room made of temporary materials, we see a bed (on which she sleeps with her 4 children, a charcoal oven, clothes placed on bags on the ground etc… everything is saddest .

Her story left us speechless, but to wipe her tears and tell her that there is hope, we brought her provisions which made her shed many tears, but fortunately and to our great satisfaction, these were tears of joy. As we will never stop saying, a smile on a face can change a life, a story.

Subsequently, we visited the LEPROSERIE DE LA DIBAMBA where we met very beautiful people, unfortunately in suffering, because they were nailed to their beds because they were suffering either from leprosy or from incurable leprosy. We spoke with a 13-year-old boy suffering from lower limb paralysis following a fall from a tree at the age of 10. His mother was very moved and inconsolable. The young boy, for 3 years already, has been unable to move, his spine, despite several operations carried out by qualified doctors in the city of Douala, still remains damaged.

Our presence and the modest little gift we brought them were very well received and we are very happy to have once again achieved one of our main objectives.
